The Man, The Myth, The Opera!

Yanto! The Opera is at last available for wide spread consumption. The album is on sale at Fiendish Endeavor Records along with lots of other great stuff by bands almost as disturbing as Scheissfinger.

The songs of Yanto! were composed over a two year period in three weeklong sessions. Prunehead, Scrud, Landonya, Spent and Fester would begin the songwriting process by reconsidering the script - what worked, what didn't work, what ever. It would soon be necessary to console Scrud with narcotics and booze, and shortly there after all Hell would would break loose. On at least one occasion a fistfight broke out, but all members agree that it benefited the album and Spent's appearance (The boys in Scheissfinger agree with most Eastern religions when they say that teeth should be optional).

The music was written and recorded first, often in song clusters that can be correlated in length and inventiveness with the levels of beer consumption going on in the studio at the time. Once the hangovers were treated and relatively out of the way, the lyric writing process began, followed soon after with vocal tracking and the overdubbing of all necessary and unnecessary instrumentation.

Once all the songs were composed and recorded, Spent started mixing the material as the rest of the band lip synched there way through video productions of the score. These will be available soon.
